• April 12, 1992: First public release of BBEdit (whee!)
• July 23, 1996: US Patent & Trademark Office grants us registered-trademark status for "It Doesn't Suck"
• April 20, 2001: BBEdit 6.1 released, first commercial product to run natively on Mac OS X
• August 10, 2005: BBEdit 8.2.3 is the first HTML editor to ship for Intel Macs, five months before they go on sale
• January 6, 2011: Apple opens the Mac App Store; BBEdit is there on day one
• April 12, 2012: BBEdit celebrates 20 years of awesome
